Polk County Reliability Enhancement Project Osprey to Haines City Transmission LineOsprey to Kathleen Transmission Line
The construction of two new transmission lines totaling approximately 48 miles in Polk County will help meet long-term
energy needs and strengthen reliability. Both lines are under construction and will be completed in 2024.
Construction of the transmission lines will include a number of activities over many months. Transmission
line
construction involves site preparation, foundation construction, structure installation and wire stringing.
This
