The Osprey to Haines City East transmission line is one of two new transmission lines planned in Polk County to
help meet long-term energy needs and strengthen reliability. The new line will extend from the Osprey Energy Center in
Auburndale FL approximately 21 miles east to the existing Haines City East Substation in Haines City. Construction started in spring 2022 and is expected to be completed in early 2024.

Construction of the transmission line will include a number of activities over many months. Transmission
line
construction involves site preparation, foundation construction, structure installation and wire stringing.
This
